While we appreciate the efforts of our CHILDREN who are achievers & Toppers in exams ,our heart should also go out to students who are upset, dejected and even succumbed to the pressure.
Sad that a student's life is just restricted to exam performance.
This poem is penned for all the lovely children who deserve much more :
Sad that a student's life is just restricted to exam performance.
This poem is penned for all the lovely children who deserve much more :
My child is still a Star
Treading a path so far
Treading a path so far
Let me not mock him for his marks
Making him a fish amongst the sharks
God, give me the patience to see him bloom
He's still growing n needs lot of room
It's a big, bad world which puts you down
No, I don't want to see him ever frown
Making him a fish amongst the sharks
God, give me the patience to see him bloom
He's still growing n needs lot of room
It's a big, bad world which puts you down
No, I don't want to see him ever frown
My child is still a star
Treading a path so far
Treading a path so far
He may not be the best
He may not top the test
God give me the sense not to treat him like a scale
His worth being measured by Pass or Fail
He's a fine piece of art !!!! My lovely child
Coz God crafted him with strokes so mild
He may not top the test
God give me the sense not to treat him like a scale
His worth being measured by Pass or Fail
He's a fine piece of art !!!! My lovely child
Coz God crafted him with strokes so mild
My child is still a star
Treading a path so far
Treading a path so far
Some day he'll unfold his mind, body n soul
Until then let not the false world take a toll
God give me the strength to teach him to rise
For every fall will surely make him wise
For now, I shall just let him be
And live his life with mirth n glee
Until then let not the false world take a toll
God give me the strength to teach him to rise
For every fall will surely make him wise
For now, I shall just let him be
And live his life with mirth n glee
Coz my child is still a star
Treading a path so far
However bright he may some day shine
Or even if he doesn't he's still just fine
Coz a Star is always a star.
Treading a path so far
However bright he may some day shine
Or even if he doesn't he's still just fine
Coz a Star is always a star.

An amazing story on Marvan Attapattu Srilankan Cricketer
It’s a story that Harsha Bhogle, India’s most loved cricket commentator, loves to tell, over and over again.
Making his debut in Test cricket for Sri Lanka, Marvan scored a duck in his first innings. And again, in his second innings.
They dropped him. So he went back to the nets for more practice. More first-class cricket. More runs. Waiting for that elusive call.
And after twenty-one months, he got a second chance.
This time, he tried harder. His scores: 0 in the first innings, 1 in the second Dropped again, he went back to the grind. And scored tones of runs in first-class cricket. Runs that seemed inadequate to erase the painful memories of the Test failures.
Well, seventeen months later, opportunity knocked yet again. Marvan got to bat in both innings of the Test. His scores: 0 and 0. Phew!
Back to the grind. Would the selectors ever give him another chance? They said he lacked big-match temperament. His technique wasn’t good enough at the highest level. Undaunted, Marvan kept trying.
Three years later, he got another chance. This time, he made runs. He came good. And in an illustrious career thereafter, Marvan went on to score over 5000 runs for Sri Lanka. That included sixteen centuries and six double hundreds. And he went on to captain his country.
All this despite taking over six years to score his second run in Test cricket. Wow! What a guy!
How many of us can handle failure as well as he did? Six years of trying, and failing. He must have been tempted to pursue another career. Change his sport perhaps. Play county cricket. Or, oh well, just give up. But he didn’t. And that made the difference.
We all hear stories of talented people who gave up before their potential was realized. People who changed jobs and careers when success seemed elusive.
The next time you are staring at possible failure or rejection, think of Marvan And remember this: If you don’t give up, if you believe in yourself, if you stay the course, the run will eventually come. What more you could even become captain some day.
NEVER GIVE UP !

Airports have seen more affectionate kisses than Wedding Halls..
The walls of Hospitals have heard more sincere prayers than the walls of Temples, Masjids & Churches…
Good Days or Bad Days depend on your thinking. What you call ” Suffocation” in local train becomes an “Atmosphere” in Disco…
Pizza always confuses us. It comes in a square box. When you open it, its round. When you start eating it, its triangle. Life & People are like Pizza. Looks different. Appears different & Behave absolutely different.

Superb Attitude.
_Pls read this story._
This story is about a person working with a freezer plant.
It was almost the day end. Everyone had packed up to check out.
It was almost the day end. Everyone had packed up to check out.
A technical snag developed in the plant and he went to check.
By the time he finished it was late. The doors were sealed and the lights were off.
Trapped inside the ice plant for the night without air and light, an icy grave was almost sure for him.
Hours passed thus. Suddenly he found someone opening the door.
*Was it a miracle ?*
The security guard entered there with a torch and helped him to come out.
On the way back the person asked the security guard, “How did you know that I was inside ? Who informed you ?
The guard said, “No one sir; this unit has about 50 people. But you are the only one who says Hello to me in the morning and Bye in the evening.
You had reported in morning. But did not go out. That made me suspicious.
He never knew a small gesture of greeting someone would prove to be a lifesaver for him.
You never know - it may work a miracle in your life too.
